WHY (our guests choose) DURA VILLAS BALI?
If you are still wondering where to stay in Bali, you might find this article as a consideration. I wrote this, based on previous guests comments whom wanted to share about their experience staying in Dura Villas Bali and also summarize reviews from both Online Travel Agent and Comment Form for the last 10 years.
The first thing that we consider when we were searching for accommodation is of course LOCATION. It has to be in the centre, walking distance to the beach, or close to tourist attractions that we plan to visit or restaurant/shops that we want to explore. Luckily, we are located in Kerobokan – Canggu, the most happening, over-exposed area recently where you can find any kind of food from healthy to cheap street food, from expensive, instagrammable or gypsy café to the traditional cheap ‘touch-screen’ traditional warung with rice fields or sunset view. You name it!
If you search us in google maps, you will find out that we are 4-6 kms / 3,4 miles to either Petitenget Beach, Berawa Beach, or Echo Beach. It takes 15-20 minutes in average by car or motor cycle to this places. Three of them are the most visited sunset spot for those who has had enough with Kuta Beach or Seminyak Beach. We reckon it is perfect for people who don’t really like being in crowded, busy area.
Uniquely, most of our long stay guests (4-14 days) who want to explore Bali more than just beers and beach clubs, choose Dura Villas Bali as the ‘halfway or transit house’, because we are located ‘in the centre’ according to what some guests or the tour guide said. It takes 40 minutes to Denpasar ; 50 minutes to Ubud ; 1 hour to Nusa Dua port if you want to go the Nusa (Lembongan / Penida) ; 1 hour to Padang Bai Port if you want to visit the Gilis or Lombok ; 1,5 hours to Bedugul or Kintamani or Karangasem and 3 hours to Lovina. Basically, it is just one or two Netflix-movie away. Guests sometimes left their luggage in their villa, take off for a day or two to cross the island or experiencing Ubud, back ‘home’ center refilling their supplies for couple of days, and off to somewhere else again.
- Price equals expectation.
The second consideration after location, is price. Our price range is between USD 100 – USD 150 for low season and between USD 130 – USD 190 during peak season, depends on which type of villa that you choose. And with that price, you get breakfast, airport shuttle if you book more than 2 nights, a very spacious villa (250 – 300sqm) that can cater both couples/honeymooners and families with kids. Most guests wrote on the review that the price meets the quality and their expectation, and even beyond.
We are located at the dead end in a small alley called Pengubugan Street, you will hear less or even no noise from the main road. Our guests love laying almost half-day on the sun lounge near the pool, or working in the living room while listening to birds chirping and a mini waterfall on the fish pond.
And when it is raining, you will hear the swift sound of the river currents. Not just that, the villa is 2 blocks from a small temple and a traditional Balinese music course, so sometimes you will also hear Balinese Gamelan in the morning or afternoon. Perfect for those who is looking for a more tranquil place to rest and relax.
- Shuttle Service
As we are not in the center of tourist attraction, so we serve our guests with FREE shuttle car (or motorbike) to Kuta, Seminyak, Petitenget, and Canggu from 9AM – 9PM. Guests found this service is really helpful and transport cost saving!
- Great staff
Last but not least, according to the reviews and comments, almost all of them saying that Dura Villas Bali have great staff. From the driver who pick-up at the airport, the manager in the lobby that will help or answer you with anything that he is capable of, the butler, gardener and engineering that maintain the cleanliness and comfort of your stay in the villa, and also the security whom ensure everything is secure. I admit that our team is pretty solid ?
I am not going to say more except preserving our quality of service, cleanliness, and hospitality. And being so grateful that this family-owned villa have been running for 10 years and more to come. We always so excited to welcome our guest like welcoming our own family, and make them feel like staying at home away from home.
